The typical range for cereal grains varies from 5% to 30%, and for oil seeds – from 2% to 25%. Repeatability of the measurement results: ±0.3% points in normal moisture range for stored grain.Important! The scale settings of Wile meters are adjusted to match the common standard grain types as closely as possible. However, properties of grain are likely to vary due to, for instance, varying growing conditions or new species. Therefore, we advise you to always make sure before the harvesting that with the grain type you handle, the readings of your meter match the readings obtained in oven-testing. Always take several samples and use their average as the result.Tip! You will get the best measurement accuracy for your grain if the temperature of the meter and the grain is within the range of 16-32˚C. The temperature of the meter and grain have to match each other as closely as possible, and it is advisable to store the sample in a container that is as air-tight as possible.
