Description Description The Ultralight Articulating Night Vision Binocular – Katana Ruggedized (U.A.N.V.B.-R), known as the “Katana Ruggedized,” features an articulating binocular housing constructed from high-strength aerospace-grade 7075-T6 aluminum. Utilizing advanced multi-axis CNC machining, the design achieves an ultra-lightweight yet robust structure, including optimized single-piece pod geometry for enhanced durability and performance. The low-profile design of the Katana Ruggedized makes mounting and dismounting vehicles easier when the device is stowed. The system features the patented Friction Lock Interpupillary Adjustment, allowing users to set the interpupillary distance once and maintain it without additional tools. The binocular offers individual pod stow shutoff, user-adjustable pod tension, and a low battery indicator for operational convenience. It is powered onboard by a single CR123A battery, providing approximately 25 hours of continuous runtime, and includes a LEMO 2-pin port for connection to an external power pack, enabling extended operational duration.
